Experience this km point-to-point trail near Harlösa, Skåne. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 3 h 12 min to complete. This is a popular trail for backpacking, birding, and camping, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

This trail is at Krankesjön is a high class bird watching spot. Here is the bird tower and the hiding place. Along the dike you pass the open and flat Revinge unit. There are plenty of water-filled peat pits and swamp forests. In addition to a rich bird life, various toads thrive, as well as frogs and newts. At Torna Hällestad, the hike goes along a network of pebbles. They were created when the last ice melted, about 13, years ago. The ridge is today covered by rich feces, beech forest and by the mutant vresboken. Watch out for flowers like backpack and orchid. The south is approaching a completely different type of ridge, Romeleåsen. It is one of Skåne's larger ridges and a horst. Here you largely walk through the beech forest. Krankesjön är en grund slättsjö och en av Skånes viktigaste fågelsjöar. Krankejön bjuder på bra fågelskådning året runt – här häckar ett stort antal fågelarter och under sträcktider rastar många fåglar vid sjön.

Runt sjön finns två fågeltorn och ett gömsle där du bekvämt kan stå eller sitta med din kikare (se kartan).

February 16, Krankesjön around 10 km.
Krankesjön is a well known bird lake. Long before the lake, already outside Lund, are buzzards and kites seen. Park at the bird tower at Silvåkra. Go south on what was embankment between Torna Hällestad and Harlösa. Markings indicate Krankesjön around, but they should not be followed for a hike around the lake. You should also make it a day when the military do not practice. Looks for a path at a hill and a clearcut. Find none, wait and passes Silvåkra station. More kites over the fields. Take to the right where the embankment, which is also Skåneleden, passing a gravel road. Then immediately right onto a dirt road, between some houses, "Båtvägen".

Meets a couple with dog. Ask them for the path to the bird watching tower Almen Tower. Following Båtvägendon one come to the lake, but there are barriers with windfallen trees. Instead left at the intersection after a crest, following the edge of a meadow, to the left at the corner of it. The trail continues through the spruce forest, some trees have fallen on the path.
